SCCU
was chartered in 1953, the Credit Union began its tradition of "people
helping people" to save regularly and provide a source from which to
borrow at low rates of interest. Earnings remaining after expenses and capital
reserves are returned to members in the form of favorable share and loan rates
and free and low-cost financial services. In contrast to credit unions, for-profit
banking institutions must also yield high earnings to pay investors and taxes.
Credit
union members take advantage of favorable rates and services in a cordial
atmosphere, where our helpful knowledgeable staff knows them by name. All
of our employees have been serving fellow members for over a decade.
Over
the last fifty-plus years our members have made Credit Union financial services
a family tradition, extending the privilege of membership to their families
for a lifetime!
